Epstein’s Alleged 2019 Suicide Note Unsealed, Raising New Questions About His Death

A judge in New York has unsealed a one-page note allegedly penned by Jeffrey Epstein during a brief stint in jail in 2019, nearly seven years after Epstein’s controversial death by suicide. The note surfaced after a legal petition from the New York Times and was made public this week, revealing Epstein’s grim state of mind shortly after a suspected suicide attempt.

The note, found by Epstein’s former cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione, contains five sentences including the line: “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!! NO FUN — NOT WORTH IT!!” Tartaglione, a convicted quadruple murderer, claims he discovered the note tucked inside one of his books after saving Epstein from an earlier suicide attempt in July 2019.

Tartaglione’s account, while not independently verified, contradicts official narratives from the Department of Justice that initially suggested Epstein was assaulted by Tartaglione. Instead, Tartaglione says he performed CPR to save Epstein, casting doubt on the official timeline and fueling suspicions about the conditions surrounding Epstein’s death.

Epstein’s suicide in August 2019 has long been mired in conspiracy theories and allegations of cover-ups. The release of this note adds another piece to the puzzle, highlighting glaring lapses in prison oversight and raising questions about who, if anyone, might have facilitated or ignored Epstein’s death.

The Department of Justice has yet to authenticate the note and stated this is the first time they have seen it. Meanwhile, Tartaglione’s lawyers argue the note supports their client’s claim of innocence regarding any harm to Epstein and could be critical evidence in his ongoing appeals.

Judge Kenneth Karas has ordered that more related documents be reviewed and potentially unsealed, promising further revelations about the final days of Epstein’s life behind bars. This development comes as the House Oversight Committee continues probing the federal government’s handling of Epstein’s case and the powerful enablers who surrounded him.
