Epstein’s Brother Calls Suicide Note a Fake, Points to Forgery and Cover-Up
Jeffrey Epstein’s brother Mark blasts the recently unsealed suicide note as a forgery, claiming it was crafted by someone who copied Jeffrey’s email style to make it seem authentic. Mark insists Jeffrey was murdered, not a suicide, and doubts the note’s finder even discovered it.
Jeffrey Epstein’s brother Mark is doubling down on his long-held belief that the disgraced financier did not kill himself — and now he’s calling the suicide note recently unsealed by a judge a complete fake.
The note surfaced in court documents this week and was reportedly found by Epstein’s former cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione inside a graphic novel following Epstein’s failed suicide attempt in July 2019, about a month before Epstein’s death. It contains a line referencing “The Little Rascals,” echoing a phrase Jeffrey used in emails to Mark and others.
Mark Epstein told Business Insider he has seen the note and is not buying it. He argues the note is an obvious forgery because the forger simply copied Jeffrey’s tone and wording from private emails that had been leaked, calling it “the easiest f***ing thing” for someone with access to the Epstein files to do. According to Mark, this means whoever wrote the note had inside access to Epstein’s private communications and used them to mimic his voice.
“It’s public knowledge. It’s in the emails. So they stole it from me to make it sound like it was him,” Mark said.
Mark also cast doubt on Tartaglione’s claim that he found the note, suggesting the former cellmate’s story is unreliable. He said Jeffrey recanted his allegation that Tartaglione attacked him because he didn’t want to be seen as a snitch. Tartaglione’s attorney Bruce Barket, however, insists the note is genuine and that his client did not kill Epstein.
Critically, court documents show the note was sealed in 2021, before the Epstein files were publicly released, raising questions about how a forger could have had access to those emails.
Mark Epstein has consistently maintained that his brother was murdered to prevent him from exposing powerful enablers and co-conspirators. He also argues that Jeffrey would not have left a note if he intended to take his own life.
This latest development adds another layer of mystery and suspicion to the Epstein saga, highlighting ongoing efforts to obscure the truth about the circumstances surrounding his death.
