Epstein’s Connecticut Aide Coordinated Victims’ Flights and ‘Massages,’ DOJ Documents Reveal
Newly released DOJ files expose Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime assistant Lesley Groff as a key figure arranging flights and “massages” for his victims, raising serious questions about her knowledge of his sex trafficking. Despite being named a potential co-conspirator and implicated by multiple victim testimonies, Groff has never faced charges — spotlighting the gaps in accountability for Epstein’s inner circle.
Lesley Groff, Jeffrey Epstein’s executive assistant for nearly two decades, played a critical role in facilitating the disgraced sex trafficker’s operations by arranging “massages” and coordinating dozens of flights for his victims, according to recently unsealed Department of Justice documents.
Groff, a resident of New Canaan, Connecticut, managed Epstein’s schedule, meetings, and global travel from his Madison Avenue office. DOJ files reviewed by CT Insider reveal that she booked “massages” in New York City where victims say Epstein sexually assaulted women. Multiple victims told federal investigators that Groff scheduled these appointments, sometimes even paying victims or covering their schooling expenses.
One victim described Epstein’s assaults occurring just on the other side of a closed door while Groff was present, though it remains unclear if Groff knew the true nature of these “massages.” During interviews, Groff’s lawyer claimed she was unaware the girls were underage or that the massages were sexual, and that references to “class or school” were misunderstood as college-related.
Despite being named repeatedly as a “potential co-conspirator” in internal FBI and DOJ documents and appearing in over 150,000 released files, Groff has never been charged. Lawsuits filed by victims accusing her of facilitating Epstein’s trafficking were dismissed or dropped before she had to respond.
A redacted DOJ email from October 2020 highlights prosecutors’ recognition of Groff’s central role: she was “Epstein’s primary secretary who handled the travel logistics for Epstein, his employees, and the victims who travelled.” Flight receipts and emails confirm she arranged transportation for victims to Epstein’s properties worldwide.
Groff was shielded from prosecution as part of Epstein’s controversial 2008 non-prosecution agreement, allowing her to avoid the legal consequences faced by other associates like Ghislaine Maxwell. However, the House committee investigating Epstein recently confirmed Groff will testify in June, signaling renewed scrutiny on her role.
The explosive DOJ documents lay bare how Epstein’s trafficking network operated with the help of trusted aides like Groff. Her continued evasion of criminal charges underscores persistent failures to hold all enablers accountable — a vital step for justice and preventing future abuse.
We will be watching closely as Groff faces congressional questioning and as the Epstein saga continues to unravel the vast web of complicity that allowed one of the most notorious sex traffickers in history to operate with impunity.
