Epstein’s Crimes Expose How Patriarchy and Capitalism Protect the Powerful

The Epstein files reveal a grim truth: the abuse of women and children by the ultra-rich is not an aberration but a symptom of a system built on patriarchy and capitalism. These “crimes against humanity,” as a UN panel described them, have been covered up by elites who protect their own, from Bill Clinton to Bill Gates. Yet, despite overwhelming evidence and public anger, there is no serious accountability or justice in sight.

Millions marched against the Trump administration, linking it to Epstein’s network, but the political establishment’s response has been containment, not confrontation. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s exit, likely tied to her Epstein handling, signals damage control rather than reform. Polls show over half the country suspects Trump is hiding the truth, but outrage remains fragmented and unfocused.

This scandal exposes how capitalism and patriarchy intertwine to exploit vulnerable women—often poor, working, or immigrant—by dangling basic necessities like jobs, education, or visas as leverage. Epstein’s power came from this systemic inequality, which liberal feminism has failed to challenge. Instead, it has been co-opted by the Democratic Party and NGOs, offering a diluted vision of women’s liberation tied to capitalist integration.

True justice for Epstein’s survivors demands a radical break from this system. It requires a feminist movement that rejects capitalism and patriarchy outright—one that fights for systemic change, not just individual punishment. Until then, the Epstein class will continue to operate with impunity, shielded by the very structures that made their crimes possible.
