Epstein’s Executive Assistant Lesley Groff Coordinated ‘Massages’ and Flights for Victims, DOJ Files Reveal
Newly released Department of Justice documents expose Lesley Groff’s role in scheduling “massages” for Jeffrey Epstein and arranging flights for his victims worldwide. Despite being named a potential co-conspirator and heavily referenced in victim testimonies, Groff has never faced charges and denies knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
Lesley Groff, Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime executive assistant, emerges from the shadows of Epstein’s sex trafficking empire with a troubling role detailed in recently unsealed Department of Justice documents. For nearly two decades, Groff managed Epstein’s schedule, coordinated his travel, and, critically, arranged “massages” that victims say were covers for sexual assaults.
Federal investigators’ internal summaries and victim interviews reveal Groff’s involvement in booking these massages in New York City locations where Epstein abused women. At least five victims testified that Groff also coordinated dozens of flights to transport victims to Epstein’s properties around the globe. Flight receipts and emails included in the DOJ files confirm her hand in managing this extensive travel network.
Despite these damning details, Groff has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s trafficking operation. Her lawyer told investigators she believed the “massages” were innocent, that the girls were not underage, and that references to “class or school” meant college rather than something more sinister. Groff admitted booking massages during a 2021 meeting with prosecutors but maintained her ignorance of their true nature.
Groff was named a potential co-conspirator in multiple DOJ documents and appeared in over 150,000 files released since late 2022. Still, she has never been charged and lawsuits filed by victims against her have all been dismissed or withdrawn. Her lawyer insists that the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s decision not to prosecute proves her lack of criminal involvement.
Yet the internal DOJ memos paint a picture of a woman deeply embedded in Epstein’s operations. One redacted DOJ email described Groff as Epstein’s “primary secretary” who handled travel logistics for Epstein, his staff, and the victims. Epstein himself called her an “extension of my brain.” Prosecutors and victims alike viewed her as instrumental in moving victims to Epstein’s various residences, effectively enabling his trafficking network.
Groff’s relative anonymity contrasts sharply with the high-profile prosecutions of Epstein’s known enablers like Ghislaine Maxwell and Jean-Luc Brunel. However, her name surfaced again recently when a House committee investigating Epstein confirmed her testimony for a June 9 transcribed interview.
This new trove of DOJ documents underscores the vast network that sustained Epstein’s abuse and highlights the urgent need to hold all enablers accountable. Groff’s story is a stark reminder that the machinery of trafficking depends not only on predators but also on those who facilitate and conceal their crimes.
We will be watching closely as congressional investigations proceed and as the fight for justice for Epstein’s survivors continues. The truth about Epstein’s enablers cannot stay buried any longer.
