Ex-Trump Insider Predicts FBI Director Kash Patel Won't Survive Summer Amid Scandal

Kash Patel, the FBI Director known for his fierce loyalty to Donald Trump and his role in politicizing federal law enforcement, may soon find himself out of a job. Miles Taylor, who served as Homeland Security Chief of Staff during the first Trump administration and has since become a vocal critic of Trump, told MS NOW anchor Alex Witt that Patel's tenure is likely nearing its end.

Taylor pointed to reports of Patel's excessive alcohol consumption as a potential dealbreaker for Trump. "I think it's remarkable that he's made it this far, genuinely," Taylor said. "And if there's one thing that the president doesn't tolerate, it's excessive drinking."

This is not the first time Patel's behavior has drawn scrutiny. Earlier reports highlighted Patel binge drinking beer in a locker room with Olympians, an incident that reportedly frustrated Trump. Despite Patel's involvement in numerous controversies — from loyalty purges within the FBI to weaponizing federal agencies against political opponents — it appears his drinking habits might finally cross a line for the former president.

Taylor emphasized the irony of Patel potentially being ousted over alcohol issues, given the administration's history of tolerating far more extreme abuses of power. "We could talk about the irony behind that, given many of the other extreme actions this administration has taken," he said.

Sources close to the administration have suggested Trump was already considering replacing Patel. Taylor echoed this sentiment, stating bluntly, "I would be very surprised if he makes it through the summer."

Patel's possible exit would mark another chapter in the ongoing saga of Trump-era officials who have weaponized government institutions for political ends, only to face internal fallout. As the FBI Director, Patel has been a central figure in loyalty purges and the politicization of law enforcement, undermining the rule of law and democratic norms.

For a man who has survived numerous controversies, it seems Patel's grip on power is finally slipping — and the clock is ticking.
