Fact Check Debunks Viral Image Claiming Melania Trump Posed with Epstein’s Dancing Pole
A widely shared image purporting to show Melania Trump dancing on a pole owned by Jeffrey Epstein is completely fabricated. The picture originated from an artist known for creating fictional celebrity images and is flagged by multiple AI detectors as likely AI-generated. There is no evidence in the Epstein files or credible sources to support the photo’s authenticity.
The latest viral claim linking Melania Trump to Jeffrey Epstein through a provocative photo is a flat-out fabrication. The image circulating on social media, which supposedly shows Melania Trump posing on a dancing pole gifted by Epstein, has no basis in reality.
This misleading image first appeared on Instagram on February 9, 2026, posted by Alison Jackson, an artist who openly admits to creating “convincingly realistic” but fictional images of celebrities in private settings. Jackson’s original post included a clear disclaimer stating the image was fictional and did not imply any factual claims.
Despite this, the photo resurfaced on April 10, 2026, on the social platform Threads, accompanied by a caption suggesting a connection between Melania Trump and Epstein. This reappearance came just one day after Melania Trump publicly denied any friendship or victimization related to Epstein.
Fact-checkers at Lead Stories found no evidence in the publicly available Epstein files, which mention pole dancing multiple times, to support the authenticity of this image. Google’s reverse image search shows the photo predates the recent viral posts by at least two months.
Further reinforcing the image’s inauthenticity, four different AI detection tools analyzed the photo and concluded it was likely AI-generated, with probabilities ranging from 76% to 99.9%.
This attempt to link Melania Trump to Epstein via fabricated imagery fits a broader pattern of misinformation aimed at muddying the waters around Epstein’s network of powerful enablers. We must remain vigilant in separating fact from fiction, especially when dealing with the serious abuses documented in the Epstein case.
The takeaway: Don’t fall for fake photos designed to mislead and distract. No credible evidence ties Melania Trump to Epstein beyond the baseless claims and doctored images circulating online.
