GOP Rep Thomas Massie Claims Melania Trump Agrees Epstein Didn’t Act Alone
Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie insists First Lady Melania Trump shares his view that Jeffrey Epstein was part of a larger network, not a lone predator. Massie’s stance comes as he faces fierce backlash from Trump and GOP rivals amid a heated primary battle.
Kentucky Republican Congressman Thomas Massie is doubling down on his claim that First Lady Melania Trump agrees with him: Jeffrey Epstein did not operate alone. Speaking on Tucker Carlson’s show, Massie said Melania “seems to agree” with his long-held theory that Epstein was part of a broader conspiracy, based on the trove of over three million pages of documents released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Massie, who co-sponsored the legislation with Democrat Ro Khanna, touted his role in pushing the release of the Epstein-related documents. He said key figures including President Trump, the vice president, and the FBI director initially promised transparency. Massie added, “the records show he did not act alone,” echoing his belief that Epstein’s crimes were part of a larger network of powerful enablers.
Melania Trump made a rare public statement in April, calling on Congress to subpoena Epstein survivors for hearings. She denied any connection to Epstein, refuting online conspiracy theories that her name appears in court documents or that she ever flew on Epstein’s plane or visited his private island.
Massie’s comments come amid a growing rift with Trump. The former president has endorsed Ed Gallrein, Massie’s primary challenger in Kentucky’s 4th district, and blasted Massie as the “worst congressman” in the GOP’s history on Truth Social. Trump accused Massie of disloyalty to the party and the country, calling for his swift defeat.
The feud escalated after Massie condemned Trump’s alleged remarks blaming former ally Marjorie Taylor Greene for death threats she received. Greene resigned from Congress after falling out with Trump over the Epstein files and other issues. Massie called Trump’s comments “despicable.”
Polls show Massie holding a narrow lead over Gallrein, with support hovering around 47 to 52 percent. The primary fight highlights the deep divisions within the Republican Party as Trump’s influence remains strong but contested.
Massie’s insistence that Epstein was part of a larger network aligns with growing calls for accountability among Epstein’s powerful enablers and the ongoing fight for transparency around one of the most notorious sex trafficking cases in recent history. Meanwhile, Trump’s attacks on Massie underline the peril faced by Republicans who break ranks with the former president, even on issues of grave national importance.
