House GOP Sidesteps Democrats, Reschedules Pam Bondi Epstein Testimony in Secret

In a stunning display of partisan gamesmanship, House Oversight Committee Republicans blindsided their Democratic colleagues by privately rescheduling former Attorney General Pam Bondi’s testimony on the Jeffrey Epstein files. The new date, set for May 29, was announced by GOP leadership mere minutes after Democrats declared they would proceed with contempt of Congress charges against Bondi for defying a subpoena.

Bondi, who was subpoenaed to appear on April 14, failed to show up, prompting Democrats to accuse her of stonewalling the investigation into the Justice Department’s handling of Epstein-related documents. The Justice Department’s statement appeared to side with Republicans, suggesting Democrats “forgot” about the rescheduled deposition, a claim Democrats vehemently denied as a “bald-faced lie.”
