Jack Schlossberg Slams RFK Jr.’s ‘Attack on Science’ While Recalling Sister Tatiana’s Tragic Passing

Jack Schlossberg is calling out his cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for worsening cancer treatment for Americans, after his sister Tatiana died from acute myeloid leukemia in December.

During his Sunday, March 1, CBS Morning interview, the political commentator, 33 — who’s

running for Congressin New York’s 12th District — spoke to

Mo Roccaabout his sister Tatiana’s November

essay in which she criticized RFK Jr. becoming the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

New Yorker“She had something to say, which is RFK Jr. is taking away the hope that so many cancer patients have for a clinical trial that could save their lives,” Schlossberg said.

“He’s cut hundreds of millions of dollars, revoked federal grants that were already authorized to people doing life-saving cancer research that could have given her another shot, and people down the line who were suffering from cancers like hers and others another shot at living,” he explained. “And he’s completely without any basis in science or efficaciousness revoked those grants. And he’s doing this across the board, and his attack on science is costing people’s lives.”

Also in the interview, Rocca asked the social media influencer to talk about what “the period after” Tatiana found out she had cancer was like for him and his family.

“It’s a wound that will never heal. And that whole period of time to see someone you love suffer and not be able to do anything about it, I think a lot of people can relate to how awful that is,” he remarked. “And the feeling of you would do anything to take away someone’s pain, but you can’t. And so what do you do? That was really, really hard.”

“At the same time, it gives me the strength to keep doing what I’m doing and to fight the battles I believe in fighting because that’s exactly what Tatiana did,” he continued. “And whenever I think about complaining about something, I think about what Tatiana went through and the strength and resilience that she showed, and it just makes me want to be a better person.”
