MADISON (WGME) – Two judges are ordering the release of two people detained by immigration officers at a work site in central Maine.
A judge on Tuesday ordered a 20-year-old Venezuelan woman be released, and another judge on Wednesday ordered a 34-year-old be released.

Both challenged their detention through a petition for a “writ of habeas corpus,” which requires the government to prove legality of detention.
