Letter to the editor: MAGA racism is straight from McCarthyism and Red Scare
Mr. William F. Barber, who claims being MAGA is not racist, is wrong.
Mr. William F. Barber, who claims being MAGA is not racist, is wrong.
The leader of the political cult that is MAGA posts racists late-night rants so vile even members of his own party reject them. That is racist.
The Department of Homeland Security uses racist profiling to target citizens they will physically drag out of their cars and sometimes shoot in the face. These are racist acts that are endorsed by your cult.
Here in Montana an avowed white supremacist, Jeremy Carl, a Bozeman resident was nominated by Trump to serve as Deputy Secretary of State for the United Nations and International Organizations. Senators from both parties blistered Carl for his views on “white culture,” comments that were described as “anti-Semitic” and a fringe social concept called “replacement theory". He is MAGA and a racist.
Our MAGA governor and two MAGA senators have been strangely silent, suggesting they too support the racist views of this MAGA administration. Gianforte had previously appointed Carl to the board of Humanities Montana so undoubtedly knew he is a racist.
And finally you willingly support the MAGA policies by stating your support. Mr. Barber, the MAGA movement and associated Republican party members are racists. That is a fact and your attempt to blame their policy on a nonexistent Communist movement is right out of McCarthyism and the "Red Scare".
As the old saying goes "If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas" or in this case, racists fleas.
