Masked ICE Agents Detain Multiple Workers in Pittsburgh Construction Raid
Several employees of a Pittsburgh roofing and construction company were detained by masked agents in what appears to be an ICE operation, sparking alarm in the Knoxville neighborhood. At least six or seven workers were taken into custody, with some already released, as questions mount about aggressive immigration enforcement tactics near community centers.
In a disturbing display of immigration enforcement overreach, masked agents detained multiple employees at OK Service LLC, a roofing and construction business in Pittsburgh's Knoxville neighborhood. The incident unfolded Tuesday afternoon, with workers seen fleeing the company parking lot located directly across from the Hilltop Community Children's Center.
The company owner told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that at least six or seven employees were detained during the operation. Three of those workers have since been released, but the fate of the others remains unclear. Despite repeated inquiries, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have yet to provide any comment or details about the raid.
Video footage obtained by Pittsburgh's Action News 4 shows the chaotic scene as masked agents swooped in to detain workers, raising serious concerns about the impact of such aggressive tactics on local communities, especially near sensitive areas like childcare centers.
This raid is the latest example of ICE's unchecked enforcement practices under the Trump administration, which have frequently targeted immigrant workers with little transparency and scant regard for community disruption. The lack of official information only fuels fears about the scope and legality of these operations.
Only Clowns Are Orange will continue monitoring this story and hold ICE accountable for its actions that threaten immigrant rights and community safety. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
