Robert Garcia, the committee’s top Democrat, said the first lady’s call for hearings aligns with their planned “shadow” hearing in Palm Beach, Florida — home to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club and a known Epstein haunt.

President Trump reportedly was unaware of Melania’s statement beforehand, underscoring the unpredictable nature of the Epstein saga’s impact on the administration. While Melania paints herself as a bystander seeking justice for victims, the broader picture remains murky given Epstein’s extensive network of powerful allies and the Trumps’ documented social overlap with him.
