The Wende Museum’s Teen Council is stepping up to provide a vital space for high school students with their upcoming event, No Place Like Home, on May 8, 2026. This free Teen Night is designed exclusively for current high schoolers, requiring valid student ID for entry. It’s more than just a night out — it’s a sanctuary in a time when ICE raids and police violence threaten the safety and stability of many communities.

No Place Like Home ties directly into the Wende Museum’s ongoing exhibition, Enrique Martínez Celaya: The Sextant, which explores “home” as both a physical refuge and an emotional anchor. The student-produced art installation featured at the event reflects this theme, highlighting how home embodies family bonds, cultural roots, and personal identity — all crucial in resisting authoritarian overreach and systemic violence.
