Palestinians call for increased pressure on the tech companies powering Israel's occupation ...

Tech companies and weapons manufacturers have long colluded with Israel’s regime of settler-colonialism, apartheid and military occupation, using Palestine as a **testing ground**** for militarized and surveillance technologies. Now, these militarized technologies are being exported globally– including to the United States to enable Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) violence in the heart of empire. **

For years, Israel has partnered with tech companies including Palantir, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, among others, to pioneer the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for warfare. Israel’s Gaza genocide, which has left 92% of Gaza uninhabitable while killing and injuring hundreds of thousands of Palestinains, deployed dual-use AI and cloud technologies that remain unregulated, despite UN calls for regulations.

Palantir, Cisco, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Motorola, which enable Israeli apartheid and genocide against Indigenous Palestinians, also **sell**** surveillance infrastructure in the US to carry out ICE deportations, kidnappings, and killings.**

The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), the largest coalition in Palestinian civil society that leads the global BDS movement, stands resolutely in solidarity with activists and immigrants across the US who are protesting the intensified illegal and deeply unethical abduction, disappearance, detainment, deportation and murders of members of their communities by ICE.

While ICE abductions have been ongoing since the agency’s founding in 2003, since March of 2025, the second Trump administration has rapidly escalated ICE abductions into “all-out kidnapping mode,” targeting pro-Palestine, labor union, and immigrant rights activists, as well as members of immigrant communities, particularly Latinx communities, en masse.** These ruthless mass kidnappings have most recently targeted Minneapolis, Minnesota where ICE has unleashed violence on protestors and journalists akin to some tactics used by the Israeli military on Palestinians.**

This is not a coincidence. “U.S. immigration enforcement has long cultivated ties with Israel. Now it adapts algorithmic surveillance tactics from Gaza for use on American streets,” writes Sophia Goodfriend for +972 Magazine. Known as the “Deadly Exchange", Israel and the US run programs that bring together police, ICE, border patrol, and FBI from the US with soldiers, police, border agents, etc from Israel. In these programs, “worst practices” are shared to promote and extend discriminatory and repressive policing in both countries including extrajudicial executions, shoot-to-kill policies, police murders, racial profiling, massive spying and surveillance, deportation and detention, and attacks on human rights defenders. These exchanges are not limited to personnel or traditional policing tactics– they also include exchanging technology.

*The BDS movement calls for escalating context-sensitive pressure on the corporations that enable violent crimes from Minneapolis to Palestine. Pressure can be in the form of consumer boycotts, where feasible and relevant, as well as divestment and exclusion from procurement contracts. Palantir **builds**** deadly targeting systems for Israel’s genocidal military and ICE.**

Israel: Palantir powers AI systems like “Lavender” and “Where’s Daddy” that process mass surveillance data in real time to generate “kill lists” of Palestinians. These systems help to automate Israel’s genocide to an industrial scale.

ICE: Palantir’s tech is used for coordinating ICE raids on homes, schools and religious spaces. Their $30M “ImmigrationOS” contract merges government databases and social media to identify, track and prioritize people for deportation.

Take action:

• Organize your union (especially healthcare workers), local community, or university to end all contracts and partnerships with Palantir and divest.

Microsoft** powers apartheid Israel’s mass surveillance of all Palestinians, enables genocide in Gaza, and supports ICE raids.**

Israel: Microsoft is perhaps the most compclit tech company in Israel’s regime of military occupation, apartheid, and genocide by supplying key AI digital weaponry and surveillance tools. Microsoft is complicit in grave human rights abuses from bombing hospitals to powering Israel’s prison system, notorious for sexual abuse, torture and starvation of Palestinians, including children.

ICE: Microsoft Azure cloud stores biometric data to coordinate violent raids and process deportations. Microsoft tracks immigrants from the moment they’re flagged to the moment they’re deported or detained indefinitely.

While massive grassroots and shareholder pressure as well as media exposure of its complicity have forced Microsoft to *terminate** some services to Israel’s notoriously genocidal Unit 8200, the company remains deeply complicit.*

*Google’s AI helps Israel choose which Palestinian neighborhoods to annihilate and enables ICE to track immigrants. *

Israel: Google and Amazon’s “Project Nimbus” offers Israel advanced AI and cloud computing to process targeting data, choosing who lives and who is killed in Gaza. An Israeli colonel said Google’s cloud is “a weapon in every sense of the word.”

ICE: Google’s AI contract with US Customs and Border Protection processes the data that determines who gets deported and separated from their family.

Take action:

• “De-Google” whenever feasible by moving to alternative tech at personal and institutional levels.
• Exclude Google from sponsorships and recruitment fairs at your university.

Amazon’s** servers power Israel’s AI-aided genocide and ICE. **

*Israel: *Amazon provides cloud infrastructure for Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and occupation though Project Nimbus in partnership with Google. Amazon’s tech has enabled the displacement of 2M Palestinians in Gaza and Israel’s war crimes, bombing hospitals and refugee camps.

ICE: Amazon stores and processes the data ICE uses to identify people as targets, manage ICE detention centers, and coordinate raids on families and neighbors. This surveillance is not exclusive to immigrants.

Take action:

• Boycott Amazon delivery and cancel your Amazon Prime account.
• Divest your trade union, local government, pension funds and universities from Amazon and pressure your institutions to exclude Amazon from contracts.
• Pressure your university to end partnerships (research, contracts and recruitment) with Amazon.

Cisco** provides IT infrastructure to the Israeli military and ICE. **

*Israel: *Cisco provides the technological infrastructure to automate apartheid and military occupation through targeted surveillance systems, such as its “Smart City” surveillance project in occupied Jerusalem. Cisco’s WebEx is Israel’s 21st century war room where the military plans war crimes to be executed using advanced military communication networks facilitated by Cisco’s Unified Communication systems.

ICE: ICE’s IT systems run on Cisco hardware and Cisco software such as Splunk allows ICE to search, query, and analyze massive volumes of data to track, detain and deport people.

Take action:

• Pressure universities to end contracts with Cisco’s Duo Mobile.
• Boycott all Cisco products (e.g., phones, routers, switches, access points, desk pros, Webex, Duo Mobile, Splunk, Meraki, Thousand Eyes).
• Organize within your institutions and trade unions to exclude Cisco from contracts and to divest.

*Motorola built the communications networks that coordinate genocidal Israel’s military occupation operations and ICE raids. *

*Israel: *Motorola enables violent military raids against Palestinians in the illegally occupied West Bank by supplying the Israeli military with surveillance cameras and encrypted communications tools.

*ICE: *Motorola has a $15.6M ICE contract, providing tactical communications systems including the radios and networks ICE agents use to coordinate home and mass workplace raids.

*Take action: *

• Boycott all Motorola products including their Razr, Edge, Moto G series phones, accessories (headphones, cases, chargers), and smart home devices.
• Divest from Motorola.
