Pentagon Dumps New UFO Files, Revealing Decades of Unexplained Military Sightings

The Pentagon has finally started releasing a trove of UFO files, including photos, videos, and documents spanning decades and multiple agencies. From Apollo moon missions to recent infrared footage of strange flying objects, these long-classified files expose a pattern of unexplained aerial phenomena that the government can no longer keep under wraps.

The Pentagon has kicked off a new wave of UFO disclosures, dropping 162 files from the FBI, Department of Defense, NASA, and State Department. This release follows President Trump’s directive for “complete and maximum transparency” on unexplained aerial phenomena, a subject previously shrouded in secrecy and classified documents.

The newly public files include 120 PDFs, 28 videos, and 14 image files featuring eyewitness accounts, military reports, and photographs of objects the government can’t explain. Among the most striking are photos taken by NASA astronauts during the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 missions. One Apollo 17 image from 1972 shows three mysterious dots arranged in a triangle on the lunar horizon—an anomaly that remains unexplained even after decades of scrutiny.

The videos mostly consist of infrared footage capturing small, fast-moving objects performing maneuvers that defy known aerodynamics. One 2023 video from Greece shows an object making multiple sharp 90-degree turns at about 80 miles per hour. Another from Syria displays fleeting, semi-transparent orange shapes, while a clip from the Indo-Pacific region shows a football-shaped object.

The FBI’s case file, spanning from 1947 to 1968, offers a historical perspective on the government’s long-standing awareness of “flying discs” and unidentified objects. It includes memos about the famous 1947 Roswell incident, where an Air Force major reportedly described a hexagonal-shaped object recovered near the crash site. The files also reveal concerns among officials that unexplained sightings could lead to public panic if left unaddressed.

More recent documents describe federal law enforcement agents witnessing “orbs” and strange figures in the sky in 2023. One report compares an orb to the “Eye of Sauron” from Lord of the Rings, minus the pupil, while another mentions orange orbs releasing smaller red orbs in clusters. These encounters occurred over multiple locations and days, adding to the mystery.

Diplomatic cables from the State Department detail UAP sightings reported by diplomats in countries including Papua New Guinea, Kazakhstan, and Mexico, highlighting the global nature of these unexplained phenomena.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth framed the release as a long-overdue unveiling of secrets that have “fueled justified speculation,” insisting the American public deserves to see the evidence firsthand. President Trump took to Truth Social to proclaim that previous administrations “failed to be transparent,” inviting the public to decide for themselves “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?”

This disclosure marks a significant shift in government openness about UFOs, moving beyond dismissive denials to acknowledging that strange aerial phenomena have been tracked and documented by multiple agencies for decades. While the files do not confirm extraterrestrial life, they underscore the persistent inability of the military and intelligence communities to explain numerous sightings, raising urgent questions about national security and transparency.

As the Pentagon continues to review and declassify more material, the public and lawmakers alike will be watching closely, demanding answers about what these mysterious objects are and why they have remained hidden for so long.
