People Are Roasting Kristi Noem's Replacement After Jimmy Kimmel's Hilarious Monologue

Jimmy Kimmel Roasted Kristi Noem’s Firing, And The Internet Is Losing It Over His Jokes

On the March 5 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night audience could do nothing but laugh from second-hand embarrassment as Kimmel dropped the news of Kristi Noem's firing.

Starting his monologue, Kimmel compared it to the shocking Red Wedding from Game of Thrones and to must-see television. "Today we had a red wedding on that TV show. A shocking elimination on the Celebrity of President as Trump finally fired a member of his cabinet. This is the first one!" he said.

If you didn't know, Donald Trump announced on Thursday via Truth Social that the United States Secretary of Homeland Security would be stepping away from her role, and moving to "Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas" at the end of the month.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say we wish Kristi luck in her brand new, completely made-up job," Kimmel joked.

"You know the funniest thing would be? The funniest thing would be if they deport her to El Salvador," he continued.

Kimmel noted that Trump also announced Noem's replacement would be Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin, a former MMA fighter and plumber. "According to White House staffers, Trump loves watching him on TV," Kimmel said. "And I agree. I love watching him on TV too — in the same way I loved watching Honey Boo Boo on TV."

Next, Kimmel dragged the Oklahoma senator by sharing a montage of his televised blunder. "We've seen a good bit of Senator Mullin over the past couple of years, and let's say just Markwayne is no Mark Twain," he said.

The late-night host then suggested that Noem's removal could signal that more Trump administration officials were on their way out, including the US Attorney General, the Director of the FBI, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and also Pete Hegseth.
