Reader rebuts letter on Renee Good, ICE - Fountain Hills Times

OPINION — In her Feb. 25 letter, ICE should’ve used better judgement, not Renee Good, Beth Walen blames ICE for not using better judgement in the death of Renee Good and wants to know what law she broke.

I'd like to ask Ms. Walen if she ever got a ticket for speeding or running a red light or ...? Was she expected to pull over when a police car in back of her had a siren on or was flashing its lights? Or, did she try to outrun it?

The same scenario is what took place with Ms. Good, unfortunately, to a much more serious conclusion. After rolling down her window and saying something to the ICE officers, she was told to step out of her vehicle. It was at that point that her foot hit the gas and the vehicle lunged in the direction of the ICE officer who shot her.
