Rep. Ayanna Pressley Demands Justice in Epstein Case, Calls for 25th Amendment to Stop Trump
Rep. Ayanna Pressley is pushing hard for full transparency in the Epstein investigation, condemning the protection of powerful enablers while survivors remain sidelined. She also urges invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump amid escalating tensions with Iran, making clear that stopping authoritarian overreach is urgent.
Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, a Massachusetts Democrat and vocal advocate for accountability, is doubling down on the fight to expose the full truth behind the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. In a recent interview with NBC Boston, Pressley condemned the ongoing shielding of wealthy and connected figures implicated in the Epstein files, calling for all names to be revealed and those responsible to be publicly shamed.
“We need all the files,” Pressley declared. “They have unredacted many of the victims', the survivors', names, and meanwhile protected the powerful, the wealthy and the well-connected, and every single one of them who had anything to do with this. They need to be named and they need to be shamed.”
Pressley’s stance sharply contrasts with the continued obstruction by figures like former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who Pressley labeled “a chief obstructionist of that justice.” Bondi is facing a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee and, according to Pressley, “will have to come before us.”
The congresswoman’s demand for transparency also found an unlikely echo in first lady Melania Trump’s call for a public hearing for Epstein’s victims, a move Pressley welcomed while urging the Trump administration and House Oversight Chairman James Comer to act swiftly. “Survivors have waited long enough,” she said.
But Pressley’s focus extends beyond Epstein. With tensions escalating in Iran, she warned of the dangers of unchecked presidential power. “We have to do everything possible to stop this war and to stop this president,” she said. Pressley made a pointed appeal to Vice President JD Vance and cabinet members to “be people of conscience” and consider invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
On her own political future, Pressley revealed she considered a 2026 Senate run against Ed Markey but ultimately decided to continue building on her record in the House. “I took a hard look at it,” she said. “What ultimately had me ruminating on a run was that there was a fair amount of positive incoming.”
As a key member of the House Oversight Committee, Pressley is positioned to keep pressing for accountability on Epstein, immigration protections, and presidential misconduct. Her message is clear: no more cover-ups, no more unchecked power, no more waiting for justice.
