Rep. Jason Crow Vows to Expose Pete Hegseth’s Corruption Until Trump Fires Him
Rep. Jason Crow calls Pete Hegseth “worse than incompetent” and promises to make his tenure at the Pentagon unbearable through relentless exposure of corruption and conflicts of interest. With impeachment off the table, Crow aims to force Trump’s hand by flooding the public with damning evidence that Hegseth is unfit to serve.
Rep. Jason Crow, a Colorado Democrat and former Army Ranger, is on a mission to end Pete Hegseth’s controversial stint as defense secretary. Speaking on The Daily Beast Podcast, Crow described Hegseth as not only incompetent but “a vengeful individual” with a corrupt heart who uses his position to harm people and institutions in ways most would find unacceptable.
Crow’s strategy is clear: since impeachment is unlikely without Republican support and Hegseth refuses to resign, he will relentlessly expose the defense secretary’s failings and conflicts of interest to make his position untenable. “I think he is an extreme danger,” Crow said, highlighting Hegseth’s reckless approach to the looming Iran conflict and his disregard for congressional oversight.
A key focus of Crow’s scrutiny is Timothy Parlatore, Hegseth’s former personal attorney who now serves as a Pentagon adviser while maintaining a private law practice. Crow raised concerns about Parlatore’s potential conflicts of interest, including whether he advised foreign clients while involved in Pentagon affairs—a question Hegseth dodged during hearings.
Parlatore fired back, disputing Crow’s accusations in a detailed letter and accusing the congressman of making false claims with “reckless disregard for whether they were true.” He called Crow’s campaign a political maneuver to undermine the president’s Cabinet choices and demanded a retraction of the allegations.
Crow’s office responded by emphasizing Hegseth’s evasive testimony under oath and pointing to well-documented reports of corruption. They framed the fight as part of a broader battle against the Trump administration’s rampant corruption that is harming everyday Americans.
If Crow succeeds, Hegseth would become the third Cabinet member Trump has been forced to remove, following the firings of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Attorney General Pam Bondi. Until then, Crow promises to keep the pressure high, exposing every angle of Hegseth’s “corruption” and “incompetence” to hold the administration accountable.
