The Downfall of Kristi Noem; The Disastrous Iran War; and The Texas Primaries

Allison Gill returned from vacation, fresh and relaxed, only to see the Trump Administration get dogwalked by Israel and white Christian nationalists into a war that has no exit strategy.

With each passing day, it becomes clear that these incompetent morons can’t even agree on the same talking points or mission objectives. It’s a war, but sometimes it’s a conflict. There was an imminent threat, but, actually, not really. America joined at the behest of Israel and its initial strike, but don’t remind Marco Rubio, who backtracked his own comments to the reporter who asked him to justify the Administration’s coordinated attack.

But, wait, the reason we joined this war, which has now engulfed the Middle East and spilled over to Pakistan and potentially Europe, is because the Ayatollah was, like, really bad and stuff, and so it was necessary even as our intelligence concluded they don’t have ballistic missiles that will reach America and lack the ability to create nuclear weapons.

Do you feel great again, America?

With dwindling approval ratings, the Trump Administration is desperately trying to find scapegoats. It seems Rubio is the fall guy for this failed war, and Kristi Noem will be sacrificed for Trump and Miller’s overreach with ICE. Let’s just say she had a terrible day in front of a Senate panel today, where Republicans, such as Tillis and Kennedy, absolutely grilled her over her lies.

Meanwhile, Texas Republicans are doing everything they can to make voting impossible for Democrats in today’s primaries. Hundreds of voters are being turned away because of rule changes implemented at the beginning of the year. Republicans have every right to be nervous, as Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico both represent significant threats to flipping a Senate seat Blue in the upcoming election.
