Trump Justice Department Claims Biden Administration Targeted Christians in New Report

The Justice Department’s Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias published a 200-page report today accusing the Biden Administration of discriminating against Christians through prosecutions, policies, and regulatory actions. Chaired by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, the report claims that Biden’s federal government pushed a “radical policy agenda” that infringed on Christian beliefs about life, family, marriage, education, and medical decisions.

According to the report, which includes over 1100 footnotes and 300 pages of exhibits, the Biden Administration used policy and enforcement tools to undermine statutory protections for religious Americans, despite failing to change federal law. The Justice Department alleges that Biden’s team aggressively targeted concerned parents at school board meetings, mandated gender ideology across federal agencies beyond Supreme Court rulings, and dismissed religious objections to Covid vaccine mandates as insincere.

Among the most pointed accusations is that the Biden Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division sidelined Christians as potential victims of religious discrimination, favoring other faith groups instead. The report also criticizes the administration’s interpretation of the Bostock v. Clayton County decision, which expanded protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, claiming that the Biden DOJ pushed an “incorrect” reading that courts repeatedly rejected.

In contrast, the report lauds the Trump Justice Department for reversing many Biden policies, including rescinding the Garland School Board Memo that targeted parents, restoring religious liberty protections for federal employees, and protecting houses of worship under the FACE Act and RLUIPA statutes. It portrays the Trump DOJ as a champion of “law and order” and religious freedom for all Americans of faith.

This report fits into a broader pattern of the Trump administration’s efforts to frame itself as the defender of religious liberty while casting the Biden administration as hostile to Christian beliefs. However, critics argue that these claims often reflect partisan battles over LGBTQ+ rights, public health measures, and educational policies rather than genuine religious persecution.

The Justice Department’s report signals continued aggressive DOJ involvement in culture war issues under Trump’s leadership, promising to “expose bad actors” and “restore religious liberty” by rolling back Biden-era policies. Readers should view these claims in the context of ongoing political and legal fights over religious rights, discrimination protections, and government authority.
