Trump Vetoed Colorado Water Bill to Punish Boebert for Epstein Files Push, Massie Alleges
Rep. Thomas Massie claims Trump retaliated against Rep. Lauren Boebert by vetoing a crucial Colorado water bill after she backed releasing Jeffrey Epstein documents. The move highlights the administration’s ruthless efforts to suppress Epstein-related transparency, even at the cost of public resources.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) dropped a bombshell on The Tucker Carlson Show, alleging that former President Donald Trump vetoed a bill that would have brought water to a large portion of Colorado as retribution against Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO). The reason? Boebert’s support for a discharge petition aimed at forcing a vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which sought to expose government documents related to the late child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Massie revealed that Boebert was summoned to the White House Situation Room—the same nerve center used for critical national security operations like targeting Osama Bin Laden—and pressured to withdraw her name from the petition. “They took her into the Situation Room and tried to whip her into taking her name off of the discharge petition,” Massie said. When Carlson asked if this was really about Epstein, Massie confirmed, “Over Epstein, yep.”
The fallout was severe. Trump’s veto of the water bill meant that many Coloradans were deprived of essential water infrastructure simply because their representative wanted to shine a light on a sex trafficking ring involving powerful elites. Massie condemned the move, emphasizing the injustice of punishing an entire state to protect the administration’s secrets.
The crackdown extended beyond Boebert. Massie also recounted how Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene faced political and personal attacks, including death threats against her and her children, after signing the same petition. Disturbingly, these threats came from the right, not the left. When Greene sought help from Trump, Massie said the former president callously blamed her for the threats and warned that pursuing the Epstein files would harm his allies.
This episode exposes the Trump administration’s ruthless prioritization of protecting Epstein-related secrets over democratic transparency and public welfare. Vetoing a critical water bill as political payback reveals a disturbing pattern of authoritarian overreach and vindictive governance. The fight to unseal Epstein files is not just about justice for survivors—it’s about holding a corrupt power structure accountable, no matter the cost to ordinary Americans.
