Maurene worked on high-profile cases including those against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and Senator Robert Menendez. Two weeks after Combs was convicted on charges related to prostitution, Maurene received an email terminating her employment “pursuant to Article II” of the Constitution—a thinly veiled political purge.
