Company accuses Kristi Noem's son-in-law of stealing data center client, among others
A1 Development has sued Kyle Peters, a Watertown city councilor and former employee, alleging he stole clients while working for the company, including a client interested in land valued at $170 million in South Dakota for data centers. Peters, who is married to Kristi Noem's daughter and previously worked in her administration, denies the allegations through his lawyer. Company accuses Kristi Noem’s son-in-law of stealing data center client, among others
A1 Development alleges client was looking at land valued at $170 million in South Dakota for data centers
A Watertown city councilor and the public face of a potential data center project in Sioux Falls is being sued by his former employer.
A1 Development is accusing Kyle Peters and his business partner of pilfering clients while Peters worked for A1. Peters has represented Gemini Family Office in Sioux Falls and the Legislature during the ongoing session. Gemini is seeking to prepare a site in northeastern Sioux Falls for a large-scale data center.
Peters joined A1 in May of 2021. Prior to that, he had served in the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development under Gov. Kristi Noem, who is his mother-in-law.
Steve Landon, a lawyer for Peters, disputed the accusations in the lawsuit.
