Marco Rubio's Gifted Shoes From Trump Are Way Too Big - BuzzFeed
Is it weird to ask someone for a gift receipt after you've already received the gift?
President Donald Trump. Giver of gifts!

Yes, the man who put a gift shop in the White House is no stranger to handing out goodies.

Even his cabinet members are recipients! The Wall Street Journal reported this week that Trump has been gifting them all the same article of clothing — and they're all wearing it in this picture. See if you can spot it:

Did you find it?

That's right. It's shoes!

According to the WSJ, Trump is "obsessed" with a particular style of $145 Florsheim shoes that he likes to wear, and has given pairs to "agency heads, lawmakers, White House advisers and VIPs," including Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity.

It was also noted that the "recipients have taken to wearing their Florsheims around Trump, some apparently begrudgingly," and that a female White House official told them, "It’s hysterical because everybody’s afraid not to wear them."

Well! Let's take a look at these gifted shoes, shall we? Here's Secretary of State Marco Rubio talking to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in his Florsheims:

Lemme see those things.

Huh.

Are these way too big because someone pushed down on the toes to see if he had room to grow???

You will not be surprised to learn that images of the shoes, particularly Marco's giant, ill-fitting ones, are going mega viral — and people have a lot to say about them. "Senior WH staff walking around in clown shoes and fear is comedy gold. It's the Veep subplot we never had," said one person.

"But it's not a cult," said former congressman Adam Kinzinger.

"Imagine the alternate headline: 'President HARRIS buys matching pumps for all female staffers to encourage unity and loyalty.' Fox would be apoplectic for a week."

"Little Marco not being able to fill shoes worn in a role previously held by Hillary Clinton is such an apt metaphor," said another.

One person made some enhancements to the original photo of Marco's shoes:

"I hope all of them ordered a size or two up to impress their handler and they are constantly blistered and uncomfortable."

And finally, this person said, "The oversize shoes should've come with a red nose and a wig."
