Stephen Miller engages in petty 8-hour social media fight with ex-Obama speech writer - Irish Star
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller engaged in an eight-hour social media exchange with former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau, criticizing each other's views on Democrats and immigration policy. Miller accused Favreau of lacking empathy for families affected by illegal immigration, while Favreau called out Miller's role in detention center policies. The feud occurs amid reports of internal disagreements and skepticism about Miller's influence within the Trump administration.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller seemed to spend his workday fighting with former Barack Obama speech writer Jon Favreau on social media.
Favreau, 44, kicked the whole social media spat off when he slammed the White House official for reposting a comment about how Democrats refused to stand for President Donald Trump during the State of the Union on Tuesday. "Democrats declared to the world their searing disdain for, and profound disloyalty to, the actual citizens of the United States," wrote Miller.
"They were repeatedly entreated to stand," he added. "Over and over. They refused. It was a moment that chills to the bone and which will live for a thousand years."
The podcast host reposted Miller's comment, stating, "Genuinely so funny how hard they're trying to make this a thing." Of course, the devoted aide to the president could not take it lying down.
"Democrats leapt, clapped, hollered and cheered for raising taxes, but their legs, hands and voices froze in icy contempt as they glowered at the parents of slain children," Miller responded. "Democrats vowed allegiance to invaders over citizens, and this top Dem finds their deadly betrayal hilarious."
"No, I find you hilarious," the PodSaveAmerica host responded. "And I genuinely hope the boss lets you drive the midterm strategy and brings more of your Victorian asylum patient energy into his speeches."
Miller further engaged with Favreau by calling him a "sociopath." He went on, "He has been given multiple opportunities to show empathy for American moms whose children were raped and murdered by the illegals whose entry he cheered. He refuses."
"He finds the topic 'hilarious.' Jon, one more time: do you grieve for these families?" Miller added. Favreau chimed back in, commenting that he certainly has "sympathy for yours."

The comment seemed to enrage Miller, who responded, "And there you have it. Jon, a top Democrat strategist, says he feels no sympathy for the American families whose loved ones were raped, tortured, and murdered by foreign invaders." He added, "He finds comedy in their agony. Sick doesn’t even begin to describe it. His soul is broken."
Favreau ended the spat, saying that Miller should use his federal authority to release those families who were wrongly imprisoned. "We can keep playing dumb Twitter games, but you're a government official with the power to free countless American families and children who are suffering in the squalid detention centers where you've illegally jailed them," Favreau said.
"Why don't you?" He added. The spat comes as rumors have circulated that the president is sidelining Miller over his disastrous immigration policy.
In a desperate attempt to appeal to the masses, as his approval numbers continue to slide, Trump has allegedly told advisors he is no longer comfortable with how far White House senior advisor Stephen Miller has gone on certain fronts. Business officials are reportedly contacting the president to express their frustration regarding the removal of long-term employees from the country.
Following the fatal shootings of U.S. citizens Alex Pretti and Renee Good by ICE agents in Minnesota, mass protests have raged on against the agency nationwide. After Pretti, an ICU nurse was shot and killed, Miller, who has been described as “the architect” of Trump’s immigration policy, justified the killing on social media, calling Pretti a “would-be assassin” who “tried to murder federal agents.”
When Trump was asked by reporters if he believed Pretti was an assassin, he said “no.” This suggests a rift between the two.
